17/07/08 PA Sport and the BBL Launch New Official BBL Website PA Sport, the global leader in sports information, and The British Basketball League are pleased to announce the launch of the BBL's official new website. The site, www.bbl.org.uk, features all the latest basketball news and information including scores, events, stats, player profiles and competitions. PA Sport is responsible for content management and hosting the site, providing the British Basketball League with a fully managed website which they also designed and built. In addition to the site PA Sport will also assist the BBL in developing a range of products for fans including the use of media bulletins, newsletters, SMS and WAP services. Jack Davison, of PA Sport said: "We are absolutely delighted to have launched the new official BBL site within a relatively short time frame. The team at PA Sport is adept at managing challenging project's and delivering against set objectives and we feel sure the site meets expectations. The internet affords organisations such as The British Basketball League the opportunity to engage and interact with their audience and we're pleased to have been able to provide them with a platform to help them do just that." Andy Webb of the British Basketball League said: "PA Sport have been integral to the launch of the official site for The British Basketball League, from conception to launch they have provided a comprehensive service. We are proud to be able to launch a site that is attractive, easy to navigate, packed with information and one that acts as the first port of call for all basketball fans. PA Sport has certainly done justice to the 20+ year history of the BBL by including some of the most memorable sporting moments within the site." PA Sport signed a deal earlier in the year to provide a broadcast and commercial capability and offer their expertise on a range of multimedia solutions covering data, TV, Internet, mobile, sponsorship and rights management. The new site launched on 17 July 2008.
