KK Bosna Sarajevo (29, 47, 64) 84 Guildford Heat (11, 37, 52) 68 A 14-0 opening spurt put the home side in control, and they dominated the first quarter to take an 18-point lead, with Guildford only sneaking into double figures just before the break. The lead extended to 21 points early in the second, but the visitors responded well, to trim the margin to just ten points going into the locker room at the interval. Sarajevo, however, had enough strength in depth to keep the Heat at arms length throughout the second half, to run out winners by 16 points. The key stats which show the difference between the teams are that while Daniel Gilbert was only one point shy of Lance Williams' game-high 23, only Brian Dux and Tony Dorsey could accompany him into double figures, while Bosna had five backing up Williams in double digits. Guildford also found themselves out-shot (55% to 35%) and out-rebounded (39-24), and those figures will concern coach Paul James as he prepares his team for next week's first home game in the competition. Sarajevo: L Williams 23 (+10 reb.); Ikonic 11; Greer 10; Bavcic 10; Hill 10; Bailey 10 (+6 assists); Sehovic 3; Pasalic 3; Kovacevic 2; Rahimic 2. Guildford: Gilbert 22; Dux 15 (+5 assists); Dorsey 10 (+7 reb.); D Williams 8; Wardrope 6; Martin 5; Aaron 2
