BIG NEW SPONSORS FOR EAGLES |

The Newcastle Eagles today announced one of the biggest sponsorship deals in British Basketball League history as North-East based Northern Rock Plc became the club's main sponsor.
Northern Rock Plc are one of the UK's leading banking organisations with a heritage in sports sponsorship from grassroots to elite level, across a wide range of Britain's highest profile clubs and national teams, not least Newcastle United FC, Newcastle Falcons and Durham County Cricket Club.
David Henderson, Northern Rock's Director of Brand, Advertising and Sponsorship explains; "Northern Rock is North East sport's biggest supporter. We are excited to be working with the Newcastle Eagles as their new main sponsor for the next three years. As well as their excellent record on court we were particularly drawn to their impressive community work. Giving back to the region is something we prize very highly so we're confident this partnership will go from strength to strength."
The club are also thrilled to announce a new exclusive kit sponsorship agreement with Nike, who will become official authorised team kit supplier to the Eagles in a two year deal.

The club and head coach Fab Flournoy are now looking forward to a positive pre-season and a mammoth season opener at Newcastle Arena against league champions Guildford Heat on 21st September 2007.
The Eagles will be back in black and white for the first home game and to celebrate this fact will be distributing a free Black and White Nike Eagles t-shirt to all ticket purchasers to wear at the game courtesy of Northern Rock. Head Coach Fab Flournoy said; "We want to build an atmosphere no-one will ever forget at the first game, make sure you are there!"
