10/05/07 The British Basketball League (BBL) are delighted to announce the addition of PAWS London Capital Basketball Club to their ranks. Capital have just completed their third season in the English Basketball League (EBL) Division 1 reaching the playoff semi finals. Club Director Brandon Bethel enthused "London Capital Basketball has developed through its unique partnership with Capital City Academy based on the shared aim of supporting sport at both community and performance level. We are proud that our performance level achievements have taken us into the BBL and this will strengthen our work in the Academy and the wider community" BBL Chairman Paul Blake added "We are very excited by the future potential of the franchise. The high level of support offered by the Capital City Academy is fundamental to the development of the club infrastructure which will shape the growth of the club moving forward" The BBL will be making further announcements regarding their line-up for 2007-08 in the coming weeks.
