BULLETS BUST

03/07/06

When they pulled out of the BBL just over a week ago, the Birmingham Bullets' website explained that they will "rest out he 2006/2007 season" (sic) while continuing to negotiate the relocation of the franchise. They also stated that, during this period they would "restrict them selves to international goodwill games and exchanges and a training team" and that "Discussions with the coach on our plans for our  ‘rest year’ activities are in progress and will be announced soon."

Today, however, this formal notice appeared in the "Nottingham Evening Post" :

Birmingham Basketball Limited

By order of the board

Craig William Bown - Director

If that's what they mean by their "plans for our  ‘rest year’ activities" then everything else seems pretty academic.

That's always assuming that "Birmingham Basketball Limited" are the owners of Birmingham Bullets, and I can't see any indications to the contrary.
