03/11/05 Thanks to the ambitious agreement reached with Euroleague Basketball, the pan-European sport channel Eurosport 2 will offer to its viewers on a weekly basis two ULEB Cup games (including Tuesday night live during prime time) and a 30-minute weekly magazine, broadcast each Friday, covering both Euroleague Basketball and the ULEB Cup. Eurosport 2 has an audience of young passionate sports fans, who have great interest in basketball. The ULEB Cup competition gives Eurosport 2 a unique opportunity to appeal to young people in over 20 million European homes. Digital viewers in the UK can find Eurosport 2 on Channel 411. And what a start ! On Tueday, November 8th, one of the giants of the French League, LE MANS, plays host to the 2004 Uleb Cup winners HAPOEL JERUSALEM, with live coverage starting at 7pm UK time. Exciting times for all British sports fans !! 26/10/05 Euroleague Basketball and Eurosport sign an unprecedented deal for European club basketball Thanks to an ambitious agreement, reached with Euroleague Basketball, the pan-European sport channel Eurosport 2 will provide an unrivalled coverage of the ULEB Cup, starting on November 8, 2005. Eurosport 2 will provide two weekly slots dedicated to the ULEB Cup games including the live transmission of matches on Tuesday nights in prime time followed by another delayed match on the same evening. Eurosport 2 will broadcast in total all 17 competition weeks from the regular season, up to the Final Game on 11 April 2006.In addition, Eurosport 2 will show a 30-minute weekly magazine every Friday in access prime time, featuring both Euroleague Basketball and ULEB Cup. The agreement signed today by Eurosport's Managing Director of Broadcasting, Laurent-Eric Le Lay, and the CEO of Euroleague Basketball, Jordi Bertomeu, lasts four seasons (2005-06 through 2008-09) and will allow the ULEB Cup and Euroleague Basketball to reach over 20 million European homes. This partnership between Eurosport 2 and Uleb Cup provides a unique pan-European platform for basketball.
