PAWPRINT guide to Clubs'
sites
|
The most comprehensive listing you can find of BBL and EBL Clubs' websites.
If a club's site is not here, it
doesn't exist ... or no-one's told me about it yet.
A variable batch.
Many of them still seem to have outdated
"news", but many others are right up to date.
|
|
|
The official Basketball League website.
Excellent design, but takes a while to load.
Lots of information, facts and figures, but don’t expect any scandal.
Excellent coverage of fixtures and results, with expanding archive
sections.
Good club pages, with
information about the clubs and players.
Believes that British basketball began in 1987.
|
|
|
Official website of England basketball.
Huge
variety of content, and much more "user friendly" than
previous sites.
Fixtures, results, tables, news
and more. Gradually building up an archive of results as well. |
|
STATSMAN |
A
statistician's heaven, and the definitive site for statistics of English
Basketball.
Every possible statistic you
can think of from the English game (and beyond) ... and even a few you'd
never have dreamed of!
|
|
BADABALL |
An eclectic mix of news,
stories, videos and sound interviews, all served up in inimitable style.
Legendary! |
|
"What's Bev"
|
THE Message Board site which give an opportunity
for fans to have their say. Wide range of topic pages, from BBL
and NBL to individual clubs, and discussions on current news.
Well worth a visit, if you're
looking for information, rumour, gossip, or just good old-fashioned libel.
|
|
MIKE SHAFT
|
Shafty brings
his inimitable style to the great passions of his life, including
basketball.
An excellent, informative,
idiosyncratic and highly personal view of the
game ... and much more besides
|
|
BASKETBALL
24/7
|
A relatively new site.
Interesting mix of news,
interviews etc. |
|

JOHN AMAECHI |
John Amaechi's personal
website.
Information on the various
aspects of John's projects. |
|
|
The “daddy” of English basketball sites,
which unfortunately ceased updating in 2005, due to Mark Woods' pressure
of other work.
Still online, with an archive
of information and stories up to the time of its suspended animation
News stories, interviews, fixtures and League tables.
An attractive and readable site. |
|
|
Very much a “state of the art” site
for its time, but ceased to update in 2005.
Information packed, though a tad tricky to navigate through.
One for the real connoisseurs. |
 |
A new
site providing links to all the best basketball sites, together with a
range of discussion forums on every aspect of basketball worldwide. |
|
|
The
official website of the game's international governing body.
Excellent for
up-to-date scores for International matches (e.g. Euro
Championships), and for all the minutiae that go to make up the
game around the world.
|
|
|
And
here's the other side of the argument - including not only
information on ULEB and Euroleague themselves, but news stories
about FIBA competitions (with reports that are more prompt than
those from FIBA itself!)
|
|
|
Official
site of the Northern European Basketball League.
Information
on competition format, results and standings. Also an
informative archive section, with info. from previous campaigns.
A
"must" if you want to make sense of Birmingham's
European saga.
