M1 J33, onto the Parkway heading into Sheffield City Centre. Continue on the Parkway until the end where you come to a roundabout (get in left hand Lane). Take 3rd exit off roundabout. Stay in left hand lane passing the railway station on the left. Follow the road round keeping left. At the 2nd set of lights you will see McDonalds on the corner, take the left turn onto Granville Rd. Go over the tram lines passing the Sheffield College on the left and right. Turn Right into the school driveway.

HISTORY:

Sheffield Hatters are not only the most successful English basketball team of all time, but the most successful English team - with no less than 36 titles in 18 years!

Having featured in the first-ever Women's Cup Final, in 1965, they first entered Women's Division 2 in 1977. They accepted promotion at the end of that season, but failed to win a single game in two seasons in Division 1, and dropped back down to regroup.

Promoted again as Champions in 1984, they steadily consolidated their position in their first four seasons back in the top flight, and then began their amazing success story. In the fourteen seasons since 1989 they only lost 19 league games (including two undefeated campaigns, between 1995 and 1997), and have won the Cup on ten occasions, the League twelve times, and succeeded in nine Championship Finals.

They have played at a variety of venues around Sheffield during the past forty years, but moved to the brand new English Institute of Sport in Sheffield in the 2003-4 season, playing double-header matches with Sheffield Arrows.

The club's resilience was shown in that 03-04 season when, having lost five league matches (to finish second), and having failed to reach the Cup Final for only the second time since their inaugural success in 1990, they were still able to bounce back to win the Championship Final, taking their tally to ten.

Moved venue again during 2005-6 season, to All Saints High School, and in 2006-7 they completed the "clean sweep" of League, Cup and Championship for the seventh time!
